BMC to pay Rs 42k for delay in pothole plaints
Four days since the BMC started its pothole challenge, its website received 879 complaints from Mumbaikars, of which 85 were not fixed within the 24 hours, which means the civic executive engineers concerned will have to pay the complainants Rs 500 each—a total of Rs 42,500. On Monday, 118 more complaints were registered, said civic officials adding that they are trying to fix these craters before deadline.
