Mum: 2nd highest rainfall in a July day in 45 yrs

The metropolis received the second highest single-day July rainfall in 45 years as the IMD's Santacruz observatory recorded 375.2mm in the 24 hours ending 8.30 am Tuesday, with 200mm of it in just six hours, between 11.30pm and 5.30am. The highest ever 24 hour rainfall recorded was 944.2 mm on July 26-27, 2005.
